This week on The Health Show: a discussion about where society should draw the lines for extending reproductive technology. Also, strategies to reduce workplace violence.listen to the entire show in RealAudio 25:00
Is reproduction a right?
Medical research and science are constantly offering amazing new advances and, almost as often, creating new questions: of law, ethics and morality that we have never before had to consider. Now science has made it possible for people who simply could never have a baby to do just that. But should anyone who wants to reproduce be allowed to. And if not, who decides? Elizabeth Weil is a contributing writer to the New York Times magazine. Her article in the July/August issue of Mother Jones magazine is titled "Breeder Reaction - Does Everybody Have the Right to Have a Baby and Who Should Pay When Nature Alone Doesn't Work?" She spoke with the Health Show's Jim Horne.

Violence on the job
Since the beginning of the year, we've been running a series on occupational health and safety here on The Health Show. We were recently surprised to learn that workplace violence was a leading cause of injury on the job. Here to talk about this with us is Jonathan Rosen, director of the occupational health and safety department for the New York State Public Employees Federation, a union representing 54,000 professional, scientific, and technical state employees.
