BOB WOODRUFF & TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY
On January 29, 2006...just a few weeks after he was named co-anchor of ABC’s World News Tonight...Bob Woodruff and his camera man were seriously injured by an explosion while reporting on American and Iraqi security forces north of Bagdad. Woodruff suffered severe shrapnel wounds and underwent emergency surgery at a US Military Hospital. He was first moved to Germany...then Bethesda Naval Hospital where he remained in a medically induced coma to aid his recovery. By March he was beginning to walk and talk...and he returned to work in the fall where he filmed a documentary about his journey and that of others with Traumatic Brain Injury. The Health Show’s Joe Donahue spoke with Woodruff about his book “In An Instant”...and about the information he wants to get out about T.B.I.

Susan Wicklund - Abortion Doctor
Susan Wicklund entered medical school as a single mother well into her twenties. Caring for a young daughter and passing medical boards is one thing; but Wicklund's career became even more difficult when she began working for clinics that provide abortions. While it is not a rare procedure, it's still a fairly taboo subject of conversation...and that’s something Wicklund wants to change. The Health Show’s Julia TayIor spoke with Susan Wicklund about the pressures, controversies and rewards of such a controversial practice.
