One of the reasons that the Swine Flu outbreak earlier this year may have been milder than first feared was it came towards the end of the school year. Well another school year is under way and no one seems to want to test that theory. On this week’s Health Show, we’ll hear the government’s plans for the Swine Flu as schools open their doors Then mixed in with all the rhetoric being thrown around in the health care debate, US politicians are taking a lot of shots at the British National Health. Now, the British Empires strikes back. Plus commentary on whether the health care debate is the right debate at all...and we’ll find out about a problem that has hotels guests itching for relief...bed bugs.

The (British) Empire Strikes Back!
Without even trying, England has been drawn into the debate over President Obama's healthcare reforms. Even though the White House has proposed nothing like UK's National Health Service, the president’s critics are using the NHS as a red flag. They argue that a universal, taxpayer-funded system - like Britain's - would be a disaster for the US. Some even describe the NHS as "Orwellian" and "Evil". All this has triggered a strong reaction back in Britain...with most British politicians rallying to support the NHS. From Deutsche Welle Radio’s Inside Europe program, Stephen Beard reports.
